CW: Mental health issues are mentioned below and in the podcast.

The universe has willed a collective pause. This reflection point that came in the form of COVID-19. There's this stillness, a sadness, mourning of our way of life. And then, in that collective silence that came in the form of isolation and quarantine.

This podcast features the dynamic Damaris Rivera. Damaris has lived in over four countries. She's a Brooklyn born babe who calls Tokyo her home. She's lived and worked in various parts of the world, and shares not just how she's adjusted, but also how she's contributed to her community.

We touch on a number of topics, everything from being a mom to mental health in her work with TELL—The Tokyo English Lifeline. With the recent deaths by suicide of Hana Kimura and the Tik Tok star and influencer, Siya Kakkar, this conversation highlights the need to continue to provide resources.
